Now, you can use whatever bread you have to make homemade breadcrumbs. But if I don’t say it, someone is going to call out the fact that you can’t make breadcrumbs without bread, so let’s just get that out of the way right. It’s SO incredibly easy, and I’m so happy to say that I’m never going to buy breadcrumbs again! In case you’re wondering why I would BUY them when it’s so easy to make homemade Italian style breadcrumbs, well, I have two answers for you.įirst, we very rarely ever have leftover bread. With all the bread we make in our house ( man bread, no-knead artisan bread, rosemary olive oil bread… just to name a few), it drives me absolutely insane to have to buy breadcrumbs.
